Comforting Cheap Fix: Freska & Razon's

Right at this moment I'm feeling stressed, tired, overworked, and overwhelmed. But weirdly, I'm in the mood for a killer exercise session as well, it's my way of getting rid of the stress! And, I want my family, specifically, my mother mum and her terribly tasty home-cooked food.

Actually, I'd like some FRESH coconut juice too.
This is one of the reasons why it's NICE to live in a tropical country.

I actually wouldn't mind having a pleasant cheap fast lunch fix with her. And post happens to be one about pleasant cheap fast Filipino lunch fix. We have to get rid of the word lunch cause it's dinner time now, and I'd gladly have this food for dinner.

FRESKA!
Freska, Freska, Freska- it's like fresh+cheska! HOHOHO. It's a place for Ilongo Seafood & Inasal.* This particular one I went to was a fast food version of the actual restaurant along Katipunan. But I reckon it's no compromise, the food was comforting.

Cafe by the Ruins, Baguio

My mom claims that she is the oldest longest patronizing (what? please correct my grammar) customer of Cafe by the Ruins, and I do think there is a bit of truth in that. I remember eating at Cafe by the Ruins whenever we'd go up to Baguio. As a child, I did not understand the concept of rustic decor and thought it was a dirty place (probably because I associated the ambience with other dirty places?) but I've grown to love it more with each visit, and have come to look forward to it.

So here's what we had:

Mushrooms and chives stuffed wantons served with mango chutney
